Well, today was genetic & diabetic education. My 1st appt was at 9:30. I got there at about 9:15, and the didnt take me to outpatient registration until 9:45 !!
So, I was told I missed my diabetic counseling and had to go to genetic counseling at 10:30, then wait until 12:30 for diabetic counseling !!! So in between I had to run and get something to eat in the cafeteria because I started to get the shakes from my blood suagr dropping!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR........
to make a VERY long story short.....I got freaked out when I was told about the percentage of risks my baby will have because of my age....but i am trying not to dwell on that. They are switching my insulin, not a big deal...so thats good....
Have my NT Scan on Friday...and they have me down as 12 wks 3 days ...they are not going by my last US ,but by last period...so who knows where I am!

geez, i'm so sorry the hospital stuffed you around so much!!!!!!! Best of luck for your scan on Friday!!!!

Regarding the 'risks' you talk about, I have three aunties who between them have had 5 children after the age of 35, and all of my cousins are perfect

Oh, what a yucky day you had! I'm sorry it was such a long day. I'm glad you're not dwelling on everything that can go wrong. A lot can go right too, you know!

Well, they surely aren't too concerned w/ pg women, are they? That would make for a long day at the hospital! I have a feeling your baby is just fine, especially since you have made it so far. Don't let the stats get you down. No need for that!
