I was at work leaning back in my chair with my feet on my desk (I know not very professional but it was ten minutes to home time). A lot of the girls were gathered around my desk chatting when baby started kicking up a storm. So I told one girl that I am close with to touch my belly and she touched it and got so excited that she felt the baby move. The problem is - the baby didn't move at all! I know for sure he didn't move an inch. I didn't feel anything. She was so excited though and lots of people were around and I didn't want to embarrasse her so I didn't tell her the truth. Is that mean? She was just so excited. What would you have done?

I would have done the same thing. You definitely would have embarrassed her. It wasn't mean, just thoughtful

Awww, I probably would have done the same too! Its funny that you mentioned that, my Mom was visiting this Sunday and wanted to feel the baby move. The only problem was it was during its quiet time - so I laid down trying to get it to move and she was pushing my belly and everything saying she felt it move - when I knew it hadn't moved at all. So I'd nicely be like we'll I didn't feel it, just wait a few minutes..She then actually ended up feeling it when she waited for a little bit. I told my Mom because, we'll shes my Mom but I probably wouldn't have told a friend though.

Yep, exactly same situation happened to me once. At work. LOL! Never told anyone that her feeling the baby move didn't happen.

yep, I would have done the same thing. She might have felt your heartbeat and thought it was baby. I can always feel my heartbeat in my tummy.

Little guy got shy?

I ditto the above. You did the right thing by not calling her out.
