or buy one?

How far along were you?

I have read that some dopplers can be heard as early as 8 wks, and i have a flat tummy, so I probably could.

Did any of you?

and what company did you rent through? Im really starting to worry of a missed miscarriage like what I had last time, and think the doppler would help alot, but at the same time im afraid of renting it and not hearing the heartbeat.

I bought one... It goes both ways on whether or not you should or shouldn't. I wasn't able to find a heartbeat until about 14 weeks and I listened every night up until the morning of my c-section. I found great relief in finding it... however-- I did use it with my 2nd pregnancy and miscarried at 16 weeks. I knew that I had miscarried only by the doppler because I couldn't find the heartbeat for 1 week after hours of searching. So therefore... I understand both sides of this debate-- to doppler, or not to doppler-- DO WHAT YOU WANT!!

I didn't, I didn't even think to consider it!!!! I think with my next pregnancy I will, once I get past 12 weeks. I know that a lot of them they aren't RELIABLE until after 12w - I just know that if I had one before 12w I would freak out if i couldn't find the h/b at any stage

I bought mine and I think it was a great investment. I couldn't hear the heartbeat until later then 12 weeks but there are still times when I don't feel him move for a bit and I use it.

I wanted to but DH won't let me. He said it was better that way so if I couldn't find the heartbeat that I wouldn't freak out. Looking back I wish that I would have gotten one.
