Everything is going to streaming, so we haven't been buying DVDs for at least 2 years now. I think in 5 years or so, DVDs will be the VHS of yesterday.

I know the new thing is Bluray DVDs (for now) but I could careless about the "cool" definition.

We have a cabinet full of DVDs but I don't think we've watched one in over a year. All the movies and tv shows the kids watch are on Netflix streaming or Dh has downloaded. If needed someday, we'll just buy streamed movies from Amazon or something like that. It's less stuff to get lost or broken by the kids and less stuff for me to dust!

We've been buying them as they come out. I already had a collection of my own before kids but I'm slowly replacing them with blu-ray as they release them.

I regretfully even bought the ones that creep me out (Dumbo, Snow White, Pinnochio) lol

No, but I should start! Those were my favorite movies growing up - my mom has all the VHS versions, but they're so old that the tape is getting slow.
