Since all the babies are turning 1, or will be soon, let's get all sentimental about the past year!

What has been your favorite milestone so far? Least favorite?

First time mommies: how was your first year of motherhood? Was it anything like you expected? Easier? Harder?

BTDT mommies: how was the past year with an extra LO in the house? Have you learned or experienced anything new this time around?

What are you looking forward to in the next year?

What has been your favorite milestone so far? Least favorite? My favorite has been sitting up. He was crawling before he was sitting up so it was a huge relief to be able to sit him down without him face planting. Least favorite has been walking...he's into everything now!!!

BTDT mommies: how was the past year with an extra LO in the house? Have you learned or experienced anything new this time around? The past year was crazy with 2 LOs. It was noisy and chaotic and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I did learn that it's completely possible to love another child as much as I love J. I also learned how to do all sorts of things while juggling a baby, toddler, diaperbag, etc.

What are you looking forward to in the next year? I'm looking forward to Kiefer and Jaleigh playing together more. I'm looking forward to him talking and just watching him grow into a little person.

What has been your favorite milestone so far? Least favorite? My favorite- hmm.... tough one, there are so many! I think I would have to say crawling. She would get SO frustrated when she couldn't get to what she wanted. She has become a much happier baby since becoming mobile. My least favorite has been teething!

First time mommies: how was your first year of motherhood? Was it anything like you expected? Easier? Harder? This year has been absolutely amazing. The best year of my life by far. There are parts that have been easier than I expected- your mothering instincts go a long way. There are also parts that have been a lot harder on me. I admit, there have been many times that I couldn't take her crying anymore and just broke down and cried along with her. All in all though, I wouldn't change a thing. I love being a mommy.

What are you looking forward to in the next year?
I'm looking forward to watching her continue to grow and hit new milestones, lots of play time, and seeing her personality continue to develop.

What has been your favorite milestone so far? Least favorite? My favorite would have to be when Jordan said mama, even though watching him walk is the cutest thing ever! I don't think I have a least favorite...well except that he is about to turn 1...I want him to be my little baby still!

BTDT mommies: how was the past year with an extra LO in the house? Have you learned or experienced anything new this time around? LOTS of work, but it made things more fun. I have learned how to multitask moreso than before

What are you looking forward to in the next year? My boys interacting more!

What has been your favorite milestone so far? Least favorite? Smiling has been my favorite. I love his smile....and his giggling. My least fave has been getting his first tooth. The teething has been awful.

First time mommies: how was your first year of motherhood? Was it anything like you expected? Easier? Harder? Theo isn't my first, but I remember my first year with DD was harder than I expected even though she was an easy baby in so many ways. Also, intellectually I knew it was going to be so life changing but it hadn't really hit me until going through that first year.

BTDT mommies: how was the past year with an extra LO in the house? Have you learned or experienced anything new this time around? My two eldest adjusted very well to Theo. There wasn't any regression for DS1. DD loved being a big sister to a baby and helping to take care of his needs, entertain him, and such. Now that Theo loves being entertained, Max has been enjoying him more too.

What are you looking forward to in the next year? Independent eating (all the time). Running. Seeing Theo play with his sister and brother. I LOVE the big jump in vocabulary words between 18 and 24 months. I always look forward to that time.

What has been your favorite milestone so far? Least favorite? Rolling over was my least favorite because she went from easily contained on the sofa or bassinet to the floor mat, then all over the place. It took me a bit to get used to it. My favorite was crawling. At school she was the smallest in class and all the other babies crawled. She wanted to crawl soooo bad. It was so exciting to see her finally do it after watching her try so hard and get frustrated for so long.

First time mommies: how was your first year of motherhood? Was it anything like you expected? Easier? Harder?

I think it was easier than I expected. I have been a lot more easy going and had a lot more fun than I ever expected to. I've also been surprised at how well I could be ok after a night of her waking up often and how sometimes I even want her to wake up in the middle of the night because those are the best snuggles.

What are you looking forward to in the next year? There are so many cool things on the way, I know. The one I think Im most looking forward to is talking. I can't wait to hear what she's thinking.
