I guess I will give a little back ground information on myself before I start my story. My name is Sarah and I'm 25 years old. I'm married to Justin, my best friend since birth and the boy that lived down the street from me. We started dating in High School and got married after college. We were born and raised in Ohio and Justin is a computer programmer and I am a music therapist for children and teens.

We talked about having children a lot during college so I thought shortly after we were married we would start. Justin and I both had good jobs, we lived in a nice condo, and I was ready to start making babies! However, Justin wasn't sure if we were ready just yet and before we had a chance to really talk about it, he got laid off work. Thankfully only after about two months he found another job, even better than before, and we moved into a house pretty close to my dream home. It has 4 bedrooms and I was ready to fill them up.

He still wasn't ready. He kept telling me another year or two, but I was praying it would happen sooner. So, I was blown away beyond words when I got my BFP. It was like the biggest blessing ever! I was worried how Justin would take it; Would he be mad? Would this hurt us? However, once I blurted it out during dinner I got my answer- He still had his doubts but he was actually excited.

We have told our family, siblings and close friends. They are all super excited. Our parents call every day to check up on the baby

I have my first U/S appointment March 9th, so I will update after it!

Weight at 5 weeks, 1 day: 128lbs

Names we have in mind:

Kennedy
Addison
Jayleigh
Brody
Bryson
Liam

Thanks for reading!

Well today I found out we are having twins! It was one of the biggest shocks of my life, at first I thought they were playing a prank on me. I am beyond excited about this, but at the same time I keep thinking about twice the clothes, diapers, food, etc. It's actually hard to put into words how I am feeling; I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster. It will be pretty exciting making two baby books and I know they will be the very best friends.

I told Justin today, he took it a lot better than I thought he would. He was just as shocked as I was, and of course he expressed his concerns about having enough energy and attention to give to two newborns at once, but he actually seems pretty excited about this. About an hour after I told him he started laughing and said, "Well, when you want something you do it with a bang."

We haven't told anyone yet (other than you ladies) but I think this weekend we are going to tell our families and very close friends. I'm going to try to think of a really cute way to share the news. I'm thinking of maybe getting a cake, and have it say something like "Two peas in this pod."

Other than that I'm feeling pretty good. I have no energy in the mornings or after 7ish, but during the day I do good with energy. For the past few days I have been having M/S every day, if not a few times a day. Saturday and Sunday were the worst so far.

Weight at 6 weeks: 129lbs

Well over the weekend we told our families and very close friends that we are expecting twins! Just like I thought they would be, they were ecstatic about it. I think they may even be more excited about it than us, since they don't really have the worried factor floating through their heads.

Both our moms already told us they would come over everyday/night or even stay with us a bit if we want or need them to. The family support is amazing, I am so very thankful for them. They made us feel so much better about it, knowing we have someone to lean on if we need it.

I started the baby books this weekend as well. I knew if I didn't start now and keep up with it I would fall behind and later not have the energy or memory to go back and update them. As of right now they look the same and I wrote the same thing inside of them, but as we go along and we find out the sex and pick names, etc, I will make them more personalized.

Thanks for reading, more updates as they come in!

Today I had another appointment and it went amazingly! We got another U/S and heard the heart beats- Baby A had a heart beat of 165 and Baby B had one of 162. They are measuring at 10 weeks.

I still have some pretty bad M/S but it wasn't as bad as it used to be, mostly coming in the afternoon and night time now. I also have some awful heart burn- yuck- I have never had heart burn before now!

Justin is really coming along too, I even found him looking online at nursery ideas! He is just as supportive as ever and I'm glad he is getting more and more excited about it.

I'm sure I would have gained more weight by now, but the M/S is going agaisnt that.

Weight at 10 weeks- 132lbs

Thanks for reading!
