I am not sure if Brendan is eating the "right" ratio of food/formula. The pedi said by 9 months he should be at 3 meals a day and around 7 months 2 meals since he started solids at 4.5. Well he is about 7 months and I am still only giving him solids (1-2.5oz) with his dinnertime bottle. My mom and MIL say I should be giving him some food in the mornings too and that he has more bottles than I need to give him if I would give him some more food. This morning he did seem hungry and he ended up eating 3.5oz of banana/pear mix (this was about 3 hours after his 8oz bottle). I also dont know when to give a snack? He gags on the puffs and mum mums still so he doesnt munch on those which I am fine with anyways. What are you guys doing?

8:30 - breakfast of oatmeal mixed with apple prune juice
11:00 - bottle
12:30 - lunch - fruit usually, I make my food and he eats two of the bullet tray servings. :-D
3:00 - bottle
5:30 - dinner - veggie - two servings like above
8:30 - bottle and to bed
He generally wakes up at 3:00 for a bottle
All bottle feedings he eats 7-8 oz

i'm not FF... but i feed Victoria 5 feeds a day.. i was giving her initially 2 meals cereal in am and in evening (after 4th feed) with 2 fruits in the am and 2 veggies at night... and i noticed she really wouldn't eat much when i did that.. at first she did though! and from what i recommend at this age they could have 2 servings of fruit, 2 servings of veggies, 1-2 servings of cereal and 1 serving of protein... ( i tried chicken but she doesn't like it!).. anyways... so since i wanted her to eat a bit i spread it out over 3 meals... so now she gets cereal (either rice or oat) with 1 fruit in the am after (about 30-45min after) her first feed. then at lunch i give just 1 fruit and 1 veggie... and for supper i give cereal with 1 veggie + i'd give a protein but i haven't tried another one yet. maybe she'll like turkey? my servings is that i give her a cube - i make my own food and freeze it in ice cube trays and then transfer to a freezer bag. for cereal i give 1 tbsp as a serving.

Lilah's Day
6:30- 6oz formula
8:30- cereal with fruit (about 2 tbs cereal and 3-4 oz fruit)
11:45- 4oz veggie, sometimes with a little cereal
1:00- 4-6oz formula
4:30- 4-6oz formula
6:30- 2oz fruit mixed with 2oz veggie and some cereal or 4oz of a "dinner" gerber baby food
8:00-8:30 4-6oz formula
She gets puffs/yogurt bites/biter biscuits with her meals and also a sippy of water.
This has been her day for about a week. Up until then she would randomly eat her food, like one day 3 jars, one day no jars. I'm so happy she has gotten in a groove.

We really don't have him on too much of a schedule. His first meal of the day is an 8 oz bottle, then about 3 hours later he gets a jar of fruit, then 2-3 more bottles in 2.5-3 hr intervals, a jar of veggies at night, and then bed an hour later. Some days though he honestly doesn't get any food, and other days he may get 3-4 jars.

I believe mine are around 2-2.5 oz. Good thing he will eat store bought, Christian won't touch it! We were at the shore for almost two weeks, and I ran out of fruit, so when I went to the store I grabbed a container for him to eat right then and some fresh fruit to make more later. Little bugger got a taste and then cracked everyone up with how he sealed his lips and turned his head from the store bought.

Haha I wonder....Brendan has been not eating as much the last week since the kitche started which means no cooked fresh stuff for him, wonder if he doesn't like it as much! I'm glad he didn't refuse like Christian, did you end up cooking right away for him since he wouldnt eat it?

I had grabbed some bananas at the store, so I pureed one up really quick. He is pretty vocal if he thinks he is missing out on food!

Derek isn't on a set schedule but he usually has 5 bottles of 6-8 oz, 4-6 jars of 4 oz baby food, and oatmeal mixed with 4 oz of formula in the morning, and rice cereal mixed with 4 oz of formula before bed, and it has to be thick, or he refuses it... Yes, I am terrified of the food bills when he is a teenager!!!

Boston eats solids maybe 1 or 2 times a day, other than that he eats 5-7 oz bottles whenever he Is hungry.

We don't really have a set eating schedule, but Riley usually gets two meals a day. The first around 11 AM is oatmeal cereal and some type of baby food mixed in. Sometimes if he's still hungry when it's gone (cries) I'll give him something in the mesh teether or a teething biscuit. Our second meal of solids is in the evening and is straight up baby food. As far as formula, I just feed him when he's hungry, we don't have a set schedule. I usually make 6 ounce bottles and he drinks about 5 ounces.
