DDC Memories

For the past 7 months we've shared so many pics of our babies, that I actually would only know most of you by your LOs! Isn't it weird to think that we were once a DDC and just knew each other as moms-to-be? So what do you remember from our Due Date Club days? Any stand-out posts or siggys or threads?

I remember one thread (maybe Razzledobe started it?) about "my ideal birth experience". It included waking up and stepping into the shower just before your water broke.

And I remember Mrs. B's posts about living with her in-laws up until the last moment.

And I remember when Declan was born. Our first baby!

so many amazing and useful topics! i remember our first jingle baby! Declan! also at how many November babies we were having i just knew at that point Victoria is gonna come early since quite a few ppl were having ealy babies!.... a few of our mommies going in/out of pre-term labor! Also all the thread posts announcing that the *NEW* DCC month was up... just watching us move down then BOOM its OUR TURN!!!!

(although that started a bit early in November

hehe) it was definitely a great experience and i'm happy a lot of mommies still stayed in touch in the PR!

There was ambercelis (or something like that) who claimed to know she was having a girl at 10 weeks. Then Lindsay found pictures of "her" SUPER hugely pregnant lol

and how about the teen mom that was pregnant with triplets?

What I don't remember is any drama

I remember everyone finding out what they were having. And our "confessions" thread. And the whole brazilian wax/vagazzle thread.

I remember Declan being born and crying at each of his milestones. Now I am going to cry because he is almost a year old! **** it goes too fast.

I lurked a long time before I posted because I was so apprehensive after my loss. Luckily, I already had some great friends in here that encouraged me to join. I also remember that Kari, Kholmes was one of the first to find out the gender.

The cybershower was one of my favorite things about the DDC. B is wearing his fire truck shirt today!

I remember Mrs. B's hilarious play-by-play of her doctor's visits. (I believe she was experiencing syncope and they were trying to find the etiology) Even though it had to have been a terrifying time she would post from her phone while noting how many walkers, scooters and blue heads were in the waiting room with her. She was, and is, awesome.

i also remember the "first time I had sex, I'm having triplets teen single mom" person. ugh.

the Cyber shower was awesome. and we all opened them earlier. I think some of us just couldn't wait!

Watching everyone find out the genders and then start decided on names. I remember Kat pondering if Bourne would be spelled with or without an "e", Nikki trying to decide on Dean's "english" name.

When Nikki became co-host

Mostly - I remember finding some really freakin' cool women who I think I could be life-long friends with!

Remember the posts were we would compare how big our babies were to fruit?

I'm trying to remember, who ended up having a baby the opposite sex of what they were expecting? I know lolo's mom thought she was having a boy for a few weeks but there was someone that didn't find out until their LO was born.

I also remember getting all excited finding out what everyone was having. That would have been a YEAR AGO already!!!! Even as a BTDT mama, I am amazed at how fast time flies with my kids. In a few months we'll all be celebrating their first birthdays!!

The cyber shower was super fun. I have a confession. I secretly knew who had my name... just because Tina and I were the only ones with twins that participated. We never discussed it though... even though we were also due date buddies. lol.

I also remember Mrs. B's hilarious posts about her doctor visits and Declan being born.

I never thought I would invest so much of my time in a message board like this. However, I am glad I did.

I remember everyone finding out genders. Yesterday 7/19/11 was a yr that I had found out I was having a girl, it is also Jai's fathers birthday. I had planned it that way as a birthday surprise for him.

I remember a lot of ladies that use to be a part of the DDC and slowly started not posting as much and now some are gone.

The due date buddies, intelligender (is that what it was called) and some of the ladies trying them out.

The guessing about when the babies would be born and who would have their baby/ies first.

Declan being our first DDC baby.

Our belly pics! I loved seeing how we grew over the months!

I remember joining and thinking "I wonder what these chicks will be like? How long I'll be part of this board? How many moms are on this DDC? Who will stay and who will end up leaving?" And I love the way we all get along and the fact that theres no drama here, just lovin'!!

I had a moment and was lurking so I thought I'd stop in and say HI!!

I can't believe how big all the babies are in your siggys, how is it possible?! We have sme cute kiddos in here!!!

(Mostly a lurker in here, I didn't post much, so I wouldn't be surprised if nobody remembered me!!)

I remember...

every time another Mom got admitted to the hospital, freaking out for them!

Declan arriving!

around the end of Nov when the baby boom started... and then desperately waiting for C to come!

when Kholmes wife had a medication reaction and when a little crazy on her - poor thing!

The idea of joining an online group was totally foreign to me. I wasn't even on Facebook when I joined JM! But I've found so much support and friendship here. Am grateful for all you ladies.

Haha, March madness is what got me back in the game!!

I think that the mommy who orignally thought she was having a boy was Jessica - Harlow's mommy.

I remember posting all of the gross things we were experiencing. Esp toward the end!!

Ohhh my I remember feeling like I was totally out of my league with many of you supermom's even if you were FT'ers. Everyone really is so nice and drama free that it kept me going...

I remember wondering if I was gonna be the last frikkin' one in December left preggo all by mah self! hahaha...

good times!!
