What began a few weeks go as cute is now driving us to insanity!! Zayd began yelling -- not screaming, yelling "aahhh" -- a few weeks ago when he was bored or agitated (mind you, he's an excellent & very happy baby but definitely high maintenance!!) but it's gotten progressively louder & more frequent. After a few minutes of allowing him to chill out & play by himself, he'll begin yelling till I either change his toys or pick him up. If I change his toys, he'll play for maybe 5 more minutes then begin yelling again. It's gotten really old, especially when he does this out in public, typically when he's sitting in his high chair at a restaurant. Is it too young to teach him that this isn't the way to seek attention, or must we resort to ear plugs till he's a bit older?

Oh yeah, we've got a screamer over here too. She will scream when she's happy, frustrated, bored...you get the point. Sometimes when I feel like my ear drums are about to burst I blow lightly in her face and she stops. She doesn't get upset or anything but I think it surprises her.

Other than that, I got nothing to advise. I just hope the novelty of her new "voice" wears off soon.

Darcy doesn't do that, but she's already having tantrums. It's driving me crazy because she'll be sitting there, get bored and want me and will cry excessively loud until I pick her up. I really don't know what to do.

i hope Vivien stops with the ear-piercing screams. When she does it the loudest is when our one cat, Reeses, comes in her view. Unfortunately, Reeses runs away as fast as she can when Viv starts that. Oddly enough, she doesn't scream quite the same for our other cat, Oreo.

Hayden does this too! Its cute when were in the house and it's just yelling but she turns it into these high pitched screams. She does it more when she is playing with toys. I hope it's just a phase lol
