Do you have any phobias that you hope not to pass on to your LO?
DH is afraid of water. I'm afraid of flying.
My fear doesn't stop me from traveling (a lot), but we haven't tried a plane trip with Hunter yet, and I'm worried that I'll be even more scared with my baby on the plane.

Not a phobia but rather an intense dislike, I am disgusted by any and all seafood. My mom never ate it so I never developed a palate for it. My husband will eat anything not nailed down (exception of pork) and I wish I were like that. So as soon as she's old enough I am encouraging her to eat whatever her dad is eating.
I am phobic of heights though I don't see it interfering with my daily function so I guess it doesn't matter if she inherits this fear.

I'm afraid of spiders. I'm doing pretty good with it until the other day when a HUGE one came running right for us when we were sitting on the floor. I freaked out!

Spiders are a big one for DH too. I don't mind 'em, but a spider running AT you is different than a spider just hanging out. Fast spiders die.
We've been seeing a ton of brown recluses this year too. Ick ick ick! The heat must be driving them indoors.

I'm pretty scared of spiders..but I'm slowly getting over it since I have to mush them or DS tries to play with them. But we get some gigantic ones out here in the country where we live (like the size of a small tarantula). I can barely make myself get close enough to those things to whack them with something.
I blame my dad for the spider phobia...he had a pet tarantula when I was a kid and I was always terrified that thing was going to get out of its aquarium.

Mother fracking snakes. I hate them and think they should be killed. With fire. It something about the way they move. I mean get a little short of breath thinking about it. A tiny little garden snake got in the house when I was a teenager. I slept on the kitchen counter for two nights.

I'm not really afraid of anything but DH is afraid of lightening and tornados and basically any other kind of natural disaster. I really hope that doesn't get passed on to our girls.
The last storm he was making a big deal and Addy started acting scared so I quickly jumped in and told her it was cool and fun and pointed out to DH that it is an irrational fear that he needs to get a hold of.
He gets really mad at me if I take Adelyn out on our covered porch to watch the storm come in. I used to do it all the time as a kid, I love it. I now come inside once there is lightening because I know it drives him nuts if I'm out there and he hears any thunder.

+1!!
Well, not the counter part, but the snakes for sure! I have tried very hard not to pass this one along and even took him to a reptile zoo and went in. As a side note, if you can somewhat detach it is amazing to actually be aware of your body's flight or fight response (mine was flight lol). I was doing fine until I saw that they had a huge python out that people were taking turns "wearing" (WT F IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE). By huge I mean like 20 inches around and 30 feet long. At that point Mommy said it was time to gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooo.

I don't know if you were kidding about the death part or not, but seriously, that's become an issue for me since Hunter was born. I used to be pretty anxiety free, but now I can't read a newspaper or think of people dying without getting upset. I can't even watch scary movies anymore, and I used to love those. Is this a hormonal thing?

I am super claustrophobic, if I even get the slight feeling that getting trapped is a possibility I freak out.

Oh god everything!!
Boats, trains, highways, flying, bugs of all kinds and sizes, death. Im sure theres more. Being in front of even a small group of people terrifies me! I've never understood why im extremely shy to the point that I freak completely and start shaking and sweating til im almost puking from it all. This is my biggest fear I must say and its affected my life and keeps on. I really hope this my kids dont inherit cause it sucks! But it already looks like josiah is inheriting it.

I am afraid of a lot but the most strange of them all is making left turns while driving. I will make 3 rights before a left, but I can do ok making a left turn at an intersection with a traffic light but no light = no left turn if it is busy.

i don't know if i would call them fears. i guess i just get a little anxiety about stuff.
spiders, centipedes, anything with more than 4 legs (snakes + no legs = ok).
birds - i'm not afraid but they bug me - i hate hearing their flappy wings right over my head when i have NO clue where they are going to go next & that they might leave a dump on my head. i don't like it.
unsecured heights. i've skydived a couple of times & don't mind tall buildings or anything. but you get me to the top of the bleachers in wrigley field (with no railing) or up a cliff or something & my heart races. i'm sure it stems back to the countless times my clutziness (is that a word??) has driven me down the stairs. seriously like once a week when i was little. i've kinda outgrown it now, maybe 1-2 times a year.
suffocating. i hate not being able to breathe. need i say more?
