my dad is gone... Hayden wont know her grandpa

I'm just in pieces... we found out a month after Hayden was born that he had stage 3 lung cancer but I kept holding onto the hope that he would beat it...its been so hard... I feel like for every happy moment in my life this year I've had a sad moment to go with it... today, exactly a month until my 24th birthday he passed away... he was in the hospital and in these short few months his cancer spread to his lymph nodes, his ribs, his brain and nervous system... my dad was such a Sharp, witty, funny person and in these last few month he could barely get a sentence out.... I just don't know what to do. i came home to ny to see him on tuesday... I feel like he waited for me to bring Hayden up to see him and then went... I'm sorry for rambling I just feel so broken hearted

First off don't be sorry for rambling. I am so so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 14 years ago and I still have a hard time with knowing he'll never know Darcy or her sister. If you ever need to talk or anything you can always message me.

I feel for ya, i just lost my papa tuesday night due to cancer. We tryed are best to have cheyenne see him every weeken i know she won't remember him but he will. She has pictures but i know there not the same.

It's so hard knowing your children will not know their grandparents. My Dad passed when I was 17, so my kids never had any chance to know him. I know he's watching them grow though! I'm sure your Dad died happy after seeing you and Hayden!

i'm so sorry for ur loss! i can't imagine how ur feeling emotionally over this!

At least he got to see u and his granddaughter before he passed... he probably felt at peace knowing and seeing u both were doing well!

I'm sorry for your loss. You're probably right - he hung in there until he could see you and Hayden and then was at peace and ready.

I'm so sorry.

I lost my mom when my oldest one was 12 days old. It was soooo hard. She got to see him once when he was 5 days old and she went downhill really quick after that so I believe that she waited until she got to see him.
