It was bad enough that I can't comfortably leave Zayd with anyone but his baba or else he'll cry the entire time. And the fact that I can rarely leave his eye sight without him screaming or crying is getting really old. Now, his separation anxiety has completely ruined my sleep training, too

So I've been using the "Sleep Lady Shuffle" from "Good Night, Sleep Tight" and was sooo stoked that it seemed to be working. Every 3 days, you move further from the crib, and only intermittently offer a pat, "shh," etc. All seemed to be going well ... till the night I left the room. He would not stop crying. I went it frequently to pat his bottom, etc, but it just went on and on and on. So I thought he wasn't ready for that step quite yet, so I backed up, but now, even with me in sight again, he'll no longer put himself to sleep.

Girls, I could reeeeally use some advice!!! He isn't even content being rocked to sleep, and it takes forever for me to pat his butt to sleep!! I was so excited to see him put himself to sleep those few days before the roof caved in ...

I am sorry you are going through this. I wish I had some advice but I don't. My family bed shares, so I sleep with Jocelyn and Joseph in my bed for now. I hope someone else can chime in for you.

I am too lazy to try to put Jax in his crib, we just have him sleep with us.

We switched him to his own bed from co sleeping on his timeline. I would put him in the crib to let the dogs out, and one night he fell asleep, and has been ever since then. I wish I had some advice for you! I know a few mama's on here have had good luck with a revised CIO, I hope one of them chimes in!

We co-slept at night till just recently, but even then, he'd nap in his own crib, though even then he was difficult to get to sleep.

Anywho, now he's discovered how to get himself from his tummy to sitting up without help, so when I lie him down, he immediately gets up on his hands and knees and attempts to sit up. I continuously have to go over and lay him back down. This goes on for 10-40 minutes, 3 times a day. This is really getting old, and I'm hoping someone will chime in with advice.
