or am i alone. I believe this is teething but the more and more it goes on the more i wish i could find a better reason. JAden has kept the whole house hold up for three weeks straight going on four. He has woken numerous times throughout the night. I give him tylenol before bed sometimes just to see if there is a difference and no there isn't. He goes to bed as usual in his pack and play. Sometime a couple hours later he wakes and i try to get him back to sleep. But sadly he sometimes ends up in the bed with me. He then wakes back up a little later not wanting to be next to me. THen he gets mad if i put him in the pack and play. He won't go to sleep on my chest. He kicks if i put him in the middle. I have been at war with this like i said nearly a month. Im not sure if i should bother the doctor because i fear he is going through the same thing seth went through. Seth did this for months on before going through night terrors and then finally just stopped. Seth didn't sleep through the night till after 3 . And he still occasionally wakes up. My fear is jaden is soon to do the same and i just dont think i can handle it again especially while working two part time jobs and going to college part time. .

If anyone has advice i appreciate it otherwise this is just a way for me to get some stuff off my mind without a friend saying oh i got to go or basically blowing off the subject or changing the subject.

ive always been quite "strict" with my kids if they wake in the night. And im not saying you shouldnt let your kids sleep with you. Its just i feel i get a better nights sleep if they dont and then im fresher for the day.
If Alex wakes at night i shush him and pat him back to sleep. If he gets upset i pick him out, cuddle him then put him down. If its just temper tantrum i just pat him or rock him in my arms until he falls asleep, then its straight back in his cot. If one of the other kids wakes up i take them straight back into their room. Ben has night terrors. I sit on the edge of his bed with him (or put my arms around him etc) until it finishes, offer a drink of water and then tuck him in.

I wish I had some advice. I hope he settles down soon! We got a projector for Derek's room, and since we have had that, he is fine. Do you let him cry a little bit? I give Derek 5 to 10 minutes depending on the cry. I go right in if it sounds really bad. The only other thing I can think of is does he get a binky or a lovey at night? If not, maybe that would help?
