Anyone else's LO still an absolute terror to get to sleep?? He doesnt fall asleep while nursing, but screams & cries if i try rovjing him to sleep or lieing him down & patting his bottom. He seldomly sleeps if we're out 'n about, no matter how tired he is. If he does fall asleep in the car, even for 2 minutes, he will skip his next nap entirely. AND he wakes up if i even THINK about coughing!! My goodness, is it gonna get any better?! Advice anyone?! Anyone else in the same boat or am i abandoned at sea .... ... .... .....

Normally Daegan is a good sleeper but the past two nights he's been awful, especially tonight. He screamed like we were trying to murder him when we laid him down so we spent about 20 minutes rocking him and then laid him down again. He cried for a few minutes again and then he was out.

Sleep? Nathan is way too busy for that. It seems that he sleeps less and less as he gets older. His new thing now is to wake up in the middle of the night and stay up for 2 hours. I swear he's trying to kill me!

Darcy is awful about sleeping. It takes her forever each night just to go to sleep. It's nonstop crying and screaming. Also now she will only take a nap if I rock her. I can't lay her down in the crib anymore for a nap. I hope things get better with his sleeping!

Riley was bad. He wouldn't nap, especially if we were out and about, was awful to get to sleep and woke up multiple times each night. Everyone in the family was tired and stressed from not getting sleep, so one night I put him down, closed the door and didn't go back in the room until morning (we have a video monitor though, so I could SEE him). He cried for 15 minutes going to sleep and woke up and cried/whined for 30 minutes in the middle of that first night. Now we have very consistent nap and bed time schedules. He cries for literally 30 seconds to a minute before going to sleep and he doesn't wake up at night. It's amazing. I never thought I would let my baby cry, but we got to the point where he was waking up to eat out of habit, not because he was hungry. He eats much better during the day now too. I know CIO is a touchy subject, but it worked for us and obviously Riley was ready for this step as well considering how quickly he acclimated to our new system.

Susie has been an amazing sleeper, but she definitely requires us to be at home with no disruptions in her routine. She won't sleep if we're out and about - she'll get cranky and then move past that to deliriously giddy. Sometimes we can get her to sleep if we put a cover over her carseat, but even that doesn't always work anymore.

And she's been frustrating DH recently by fighting naps too. He'll put her down in her crib and she'll bounce back up and play happily in her crib until he gives up and goes to lay her down again, or get her for a change or meal or more play. She's been a little better when I lay her down, but still not as good a napper as she once was! She's definitely about to get a tooth in though - I can feel her swollen gum - so maybe that's the problem.

Brendan slept like crap for 3.5 weeks straight. He would scream as soon as I put him in the crib then once he figured out he could stand up he would stand as soon as I laid him down and scream. It got worse and worse. Naps had the same issue and then he started waking up every couple of hours doing the same thing. I just kept going in to lay him back down, rub his belly and say sweet dreams and now he is back to normal Brendan going to bed just before 7 and waking up just before 7. I had called my pedi miserable after the 3 week mark and she said to just keep doing what I was doing and it was a stage that he had to get through. She thought it was his milestones causing bad sleep (he learned to crawl, stand and cruise all at once) as well as bad separation anxiety.
