I know this is late, but better late than never right! Plus this one is easy to fit into your day. You could do it in the 15 minutes before you go to bed. You won't get too sweaty!
Standing Oblque Crunch
My pilates clients love this exercise! They say they can feel the burn so well and into the next day. It works those not so lovely lovehandles.
Some tips:
1. You can do these with or without weights. If you don't have hand weights grab a pound bag of rice or a large can of soup. The exercise is still effective w/o weights.
2. Instead of leaving the opposite hand down by your side, put your the opposite hand behind your head. Creates greater resistance.
3. WATCH YOURSELF! this is the best tip I can offer. Start in front of a mirror. In this exercise it is very important to square you hips over your knees. Nothing should move from your belly button down. Sometimes when the abs get tired your hit will start jutting out rather than truly bending from the waist.
4. IMPORTANT - draw your belly button toward your spine the whole time you do this exercise. This activates all your ab muscles. If you can hold a kegel while you do it too, even better!
Do 3 sets of 20 on each side - total of 120 oblique crunches
