I had my first appointment on Tuesday morning! I was so excited, but was immediately nervous on the way there.
Everyone in the office is super nice and welcoming. My new OB is really nice. Overly happy, but very thorough. We first met in his office where he asked me a bunch of questions and we talked for about 15 minutes. Then we went to an exam room and he did the routine exam. According to my last AF, I was supposed to be over nine weeks. The EDD he gave was 1/21 (which I knew would be wrong since my cycles were 35 days apart). He tried to find the HB with a doppler, but couldn't, so he asked me to come back for an u/s so we could pinpoint exactly how far along I am and get an accurate due date.
Wednesday I came back and had an u/s. The baby looks good, HB at 176! The tech took measurements and came up with 1/27 as my official EDD, which is one day before my calculations. She said they would probably keep the 1/21 date, but I asked her to change it because IMO 6 days is a lot and can mean the difference between being induced or not, so she did! I will have to make sure my OB actually changes it, but I am sure he will.
The best part (aside from seeing the baby of course) was that we were in there for only an hour! At my old OB's office we would wait for well over an hour before seeing him for 5 minutes. My next appointment is 7/19.
Here is the little bean!
