What are your local supermarkets? Which ones do you shop at?

Hannaford, Shaw's ...and Whole Foods, if that counts.
We have a Market Basket here in Maine, but it's a small, independently-owned natural foods store in Rockport. I doubt it's affiliated with the Market Basket chain. But it always throws me for a loop when I see someone talk about Market Basket.

I wish we had a Whole Foods here... I think the closest one to us is Portland, ME.

I've heard of some of your markets but only in passing. DH knows Hannaford b/c he used to work up in NH.

We have a ton of supermarkets in the area. We have Shoprite, A&P, Pathmark, Acme, Wegman's and Stop & Shop. If we drive a little further - about 45 min or so - we have Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

I mostly shop at Shoprite and Wegman's. I'll shop at the others if there is a good sale.

I confess, I hate supermarkets! The only reason I shop at them is because I have to. I am a frugal person, so I religiously read the fliers for the best deals and base my meal plans around what I can find in those fliers. I tend to buy most of my fresh vegetables at Big Y or Super Walmart. And most everything else at the Commissary on the Navy base (hubby is active duty Navy).
