Any worries? Are you doing anything in preparation?

Here in PA we don't have to worry about Earl. The hurricane will be off the coast enough to not affect our weather. The NJ coast has riptide warnings up.

Preparing for lots of wind, flooding and power outages! We are in SE Connecticut.... I think we might be getting a good show... DH says that event he Submarine base (where he works) is doing Hurricane prep! And he's been stationed at this base a few times in his Naval career, said this is the first time he's seen this big of preparation.

We're about 20 mins from the NH/MA coast so I think I'll be heading out tonight and getting some extra water, making sure we have enough batteries and stocking up on some dry goods for the weekend. I was just reading an article that said they think the eye of the storm will be increasing in size over night and could extend a lot further inland than expected - should be an interesting weekend!

lmao... our carport didn't even flood like it usually does in a storm! Not a lot of wind either.... Happy that kinda fizzled out like it did... Feeling kinda sorry for Halifax, NS though...

This is why I want to be a meteorologist when I grow up!

We had gone down to Md and was literally a block from the water and nothing! Just some rain and not even that much wind. Not that I'm complaining....
