I was sitting in my living room, two months pregnant with my first child, watching Good Morning America, they were talking about some fire at the WTC, saying that maybe it was electrical, maybe it was this or that, showed live pics of the fire, a guy on the ground said something about maybe a plane that might have hit it by mistake.

I thought, "Oh, here they go, these people in the media. It's just an electrical fire. Why do they have to sensationalize everything? Plane, yeah, right."

Saw a plane fly into the field of the TV screen, thought, "Gee, that's awfully close, must be headed to the runway at JFK or Laguardia, . . . but it's AWFULLY close . . .

Saw the plane go into the second tower live, in shock turned to my dh and said, "That wasn't an accident."

Well that day I was at work in NYC about 6 blocks from the WTC.... I work on the 40th Fl and only saw the explosion from the 2nd plane hit because my bosses office blocks my view Thank God.

Well than we all got asked to leave the building and go downstairs and my whole building did.. Then the first building fell and all the smoke come rushing towards us and we had to walk along the FDR Drive where there were millions of people walking and trying to catch a ride with buses, cars and crying and all confused. Me and a couple of my friends were trying to walk over the Brookly Bridge but the 2nd Building fell and there went that because of all the smoke so we ended up walking over the Williamsburg Bridge into Brooklyn. All I kept thinking was there can be a boom on this bridge and go off any minute so I sprinted arcoss the bridge as fast as I can.. My mom ended up picking us up and bringing us back to her office. My mom feed us and let us freshen up and found people to drive everybody home that night..

I didn't get home until 8:00 that night and couldn't stop hugging Craig & Charlie (Dog) and saying how much I loved them both.

What a tradedy to remember my whole life huh?

I was teaching. I had just started dating DH just 3 months prior. He had left early that morning for a flight to Georgia.

our lead teacher came into our classrooms and told us to sit down with the kids and watch the news. (just what we should be doing with kids with emotional problems . . . showing them horrifying terrorist footage)

At any rate. I was scared to death! I knew that Matt was off flying some where. I picked up my classroom phone and called him immediately. He was fine, obviously. He was stuck in Georgia for 4 days before they lifted the flight resrictions.

It's funny how tragedy affects us. Matt returned home on the 14th and proposed on the 17th.[/b]

Wow!!!! Me and Craig got engaged Aug of that year and was suppose to look at a Restaurant for our Engagment Party that day..

It's so weird how life works huh.

I was 8.5 months pregnant with Kaylee and actually had an OB appointment that day. I was home (wearing my huge maternity PJ's that had sheep on them! ) and watching TV when they interruppted with the news of the WT Building being on fire...I looked and saw the plane hit the 2nd building. DH called to tell me to turn on the TV and I told him I just saw it, the plane hit the building...he said yeah, they must be replaying it. I said "no...it's live, babe." and he immediately said..."I'm coming home".

He only worked 10 mins away from home....a good hour from the city but...my FIL worked right next to the building. FIL was OK. Has a story similar to Kris's...though the man is a ridulous drama king so he'd tell you his day was worse than any of the other people who went through it. Very in-sensitive man he is.

When we went to the doc appointment later...Kaylee's heartbeat was extrememly slower then usual though her movements were still regular. My doctor even said it was as if she knew something sad happened. I'll never forget that day.

That's something about your daughter not moving that much that day I guess she felt your sadness. They Say that baby's in the Womb can feel everything..

Wow a lot of people got so lucky that day huh!!!! We all have to Thank-God for watching over us that horrible day.

My friend Charlie's Brother-In-Law worked at Canter Fitgerald and didn't make it. They had 2 beautiful Daughters and were together since High School.. They usually go away every year so they don't have to be rememberd of this horrible day.
