Tonight I was on my way home with the kids. We were only about 6 miles from home, I had my brights on and all of a sudden the lights turned off! The highway went pitch black! I tried the dims as quick as I could and luckily they worked. I hate using the dims on our highway since there's so many deer but we made it home. I think I'm going to have Dh check it out tomorrow, that was scary!

That is scary. It happened to me several months ago before I got my new vehicle.

Sounds like a short somewhere. Could be a cable or the fuse. Simple fix. Glad you all got home ok.

ohh wow that is super scary!! at least your dims worked....and you got home safely!!!

I tested the brights again tonight but kept my hand on the switch just in case and they went out again. One of our brights is already burnt out so I think I'll have Dh fix it when he replaces that bulb.
