How has everyone been weathering the weather lately? Has anyone been hit by the tornadoes that keep ripping through?

So far we've been okay. There have been touch-downs north and south of here, but none here yet thankfully. Today we decided to go to Iowa City for the afternoon and drove right into the storm front. It was a little scary. Then we heard Kaija pipe up from the back seat and say "This is so fun!!" We're getting smacked again right now. I'm glad both girls sleep so well, the thunder is rattling the whole house!

We have had quite a few severe storms lately. It seems like they are late this year, we usually get them in April/May. The only time it has been scary was the other day when we were driving home. The winds were SO strong and it was the first time we have had DD in the car during a bad storm (she's 7 weeks). Luckily she wasn't bothered by it. It is like we live in a little bubble though. I grew up here left and came back (don't most of us in the midwest?) and have never seen a funnel cloud. Yet there have been tornadoes all around us.

i've seen a few funnel clouds in my day! none of them ever turned into a tornado thank goodness LOL as i was standing outside watching them LOL

sounds like Iowa is getting HIT tonight!!! It is all north of where I live, but BOY are they some strong storms!!

We have had thunderstorms at least twice a week the last 3 weeks. And have had rain at least 5 days a week also. We had tornados in the area last Thursday. Had houses 5 miles SW of me flattened and some woods 5 miles N of me taken out (which was next door to my old house). I also found out the where I used to live in southern MN was hit bad that night We also had BAD storms and winds last night again. It was kinda scary after what happened last week!
