With the big winter storm coming...are you prepared?
We stocked up on all kinds of food, water, flashlights, and candles. The store shelves were pretty vacant. They put our state in a state of emergency. I am a little scared that I will go into labor during this whole thing. Hopefully I won't. I would hate to try and get to the hospital in the mayhem. They have pretty much closed everything down here too. No work, no school...I think the hospital is the only thing that will be open...

I would be nervous! I am in Omaha and we are only supposed to get 6-9 inches with the strong winds. I worry about losing power and heat. Stay safe!

Both of my girls were born at 38w6d so I'd be freaking out!!
We aren't getting the ice part of the storm that is hitting 2 hours south of here. We got maybe 2" today. It looks like it's still coming down, I can't tell through the plastic on the window. We are looking at up to 20" Tuesday into Wednesday though!!

It's blowing like crazy here. I live on the highway and can't even see the road. We didn't stock up on anything... maybe crazy but we don't lol. When we lost power Christmas of '09 DH rigged up the generator to power the furnace, living room, and the refrigerator. We were able to grill on the front porch and managed just fine.

We survived! I would be so nervous to be pregnant during something like that, but our hospital is only 2 minutes away so I'm really lucky. Also, our power rarely ever goes out because we are on the same transformer as the hospital. If the power goes out, they turn on their massive generator and it backfills the electricity to us.
