In my CNA class there is a guy who i believe is Sudanese or Somalian, he has a extremely dark pigmentation and with his accent I believe that is where he is from, we have a lot of refugees in our city, he is definitely not African American though. Today I wore a lace shelf-bra cami under a shirt that has a bit of a plunge where cleavage would be and i'm just a tad afraid of certain "girls" showing so i always wear a cami under those kinds of shirts, especially this one. I get to class and a previous group that had met in the room had grouped the tables together so instead of rows two tables were pushed together. when i sat down he was straight across from me and unconsiously i grabed the top edge of my shirt in the center and pulled it up. As soon as i did that this guy grabbed his bookbag and booked it out of the room I thought i offended him severly! I know locally a lot of the women refugees wear long dresses and the shawl-like things over their hair, not necessairly covering their face like the Muslim type of apparel does. I looked at the other girls who were sitting next to me and was like "was that because of me, did i offend him??? I didn't mean to!" He never came back to class. i stayed after class and asked the instructor if he left because of another conflict and explained what happened. she assured me that he left for another reason. I was so paranoid and felt the entire class like i had made him uncomfortable and caused him to leave without meaning to.
