so far not yet. last week they were concerned about the Platte River flooding homes right by the river, out in the "country" but nothing in town so far. Friends up in the panhandle of NE have had to worry about it up there though although i think they missed the brunt of it.

Nope. Just the Mississippi in the early parts of the Spring. This year was our 6th worst in history.

that is crazy! the only "flooding" we've had here is the underpassess filling up when it rains. and then we get to laugh at the idiots who drive into the flooded underpasses and get stuck. There are enclosed sidewalks in the underpasses that and the sidewalk is well above the roof-line of a vehicle. The waters usually go up to about a foot or so under the sidewalk because the drains in the underpasses suck. If you drive those on a regular basis and know how high the sidewalks are and you can see as you start to enter the underpass that the water is just below the sidewalk...why would you continue to drive in to it?

We live 3 blocks from the river on the Omaha side. Thankfully we are on a large hill and it wont flood here. We have family that lived at Lake Waconda though and they probably wont be able to go back.
