Tell us about something your kid(s) has/have done recently! This can be something good that you are excited about, something not so great that has you frustrated, something adorable that you can't wait to share...whatever.
Will spent the weekend working on a Boy Scout project to earn his Traveler badge. He even had to pack everything he would need to pack to take a trip that lasted 2 days or more. He did an amazing job with this project!
Sierra just had a birthday. She had some money burning a hole in her pocket, and she chose to spend that money on books instead of makeup or something that would only last a short period of time. I was proud of that because usually she just grabs magazines that she will look at once and throw away or more make up (that she doesn't need). We had just gotten her the Hunger Games book for her birthday and she used the cash she got to buy book two and three to that set.
It irritates the heck out of me that I tell DS to do something millions of times but he STILL cannot seem to remember to do it. Such as, we keep our toaster on top of our upper kitchen cabinets. Almost every morning DS gets it down for either waffles, bagels, or whatever. I have told him a million times to put it back when he's done with it, but he NEVER does. He also has the chore to feed the outdoor animals (a dog and 3 cats) every morning and evening, but he NEVER remembers to do it without prompting. There are SO many more things than just those two examples. This child is 13, not 5. He should be able to retain enough information to remember to do such simple things. UGH!!!
