At the beginning of last year me and DH went and bought a new Mattress set. It was around $1500. It is one with the pillow top and memory foam in it. When we purchased it the saleman talked us into buying a mattress pad cover that was to keep anything from leaking through onto the mattress.

Cass has not been sleeping very well (for awhile) and so 2 nights ago I let her sleep with us for like the last hr before I had to get ready for work. DH called and said Cass had peeded our bed and everything went through the mattress protector and the mattress was soaked in pee. I of course was ticked (not at Cass, she actually does really good. This is her first accident in 6 months +) but because I had paid $80 for a mattress cover that was suppose to protect the mattress from accidents like this. So when I got home yesterday afternoon I called the furniture store and questioned them about the cover. They told me to contact Guardsman who made the cover. The lady I talked to was nasty. She said that the only way anything is protected is if we purchased the warranty also with the Bedguard. So when I hung up on her I went in and cleaned the heck out of the mattress, and sprayed it with some enzyme cleaner DH has from work. I sat and stewed about it for awhile and called the furniture store back and complained some more. The guy working seemed kinda stupid and he was the Service Manager. He later called back and told me to contact Guardsman again and that he had talked to them and they would cover it, but.....under certain circumstances,,,,being (1) that the mattress was not cleaned with anything other than water not cleaning sprays,etc...and that it was reported within 5 days. So now after all that, I cannot have anything done because I washed the mattress and soaked it in the cleaner. He said they would know because they test the fabric for cleaners before cleaning it? Great! DH said I was over-reacting about the whole thing and not to worry about it.

I am so sick of not having anything nice for more than a year, and I am so sick of being crapped on. What did they expect me to do when they said nothing could be done, sleep in pee? So that has been my week so far. Besides finding out that I have to work the next 13 days in a row. And on another note also, about Cass not sleeping, she might have to get her tonsils out. She is such a restless sleeper (snores, etc.) Her tonsils are huge but they are trying to wait until she is at least 4 before surgery. We'll see! If you made it this far, Thanks for listening.

The rest of the week has to get better!

Man that sucks super bad!! What a dumb rule that you can ONLY clean it with water, what were you supposed to do? Plus it sounded from the beginning like they were gonna be of no help to you, so you had to take matters into your own hands and clean it. The longer it sat the worse it was going to be. Don't you hate stuff like that? If people knew how to do their darn job maybe it wouldn't have happened. I am not a fan of poor customer service skills!

So did that cleaner work?

Is there anything you could buy to put under your sheet to help protect the mattress if it would happen again? I know we have some small liner things I used to use for Reagan.

Man 13 days in a row? I hope you get atleast a week off after that!!

It sounds like you're just having a super crappy day. I hope it starts looking up soon!!!

And ya know what? You probably cleaned the mattress better than they would with that kind of attitude.

That stinks! I can't believe they won't do anything if you clean it with something other than water! Like plain water would do anything. I hope the rest of your day has been going better.
