Newbie here... I'm thinking about getting a HPT, but wonder if maybe I'm being silly. I've been feeling PMS-y for about 10 days now - bloated, tired, irritable, tender breasts, minor cramping, etc. All normal. Well I expected AF on 5/16 and so far nothing. I'm not on the dot regular, but usually pretty close. I wasn't thinking much of it, but a couple of days ago I started feeling nauseated. It's been coming and going since then, mostly in the middle of the day. The only other abnormal thing is that my lower back has been aching a bit.
Should I get a test? Should I wait a bit longer before I get one?
I got a 2 pack of First Response tests on my way home from work today. Used the first one and there are very definitely two lines. Freaking out just a little, as is the BF. Still in shock so much that I can't quite process it. Recently moved to this town and don't even have a GP yet, so I'm gonna have to get on the ball and find someone to test and confirm.
From what I've read the FR HPT's are pretty accurate and dependable. Anyone know anything different? I guess I'm mostly wondering how likely it is that the doc will tell me it was a false positive. Oh and I plan to use the second test when I get up in the morning...
