Well just wondering if anyone has any insights. I'm thirty four been TTC for over a year. I have had very irregular cycles since forever, but generally I'm in the 36-42 day range, which has made it harder to track ovulation. I am on day 38 now so for me not technically late, but I tested because I was having pregnancy symptoms. I first tested on 5/4/12 with a clear blue and it was positive, tested later that day same brand again positive but lighter. So I bought first response and tested on 5/5/12 morning and evening both positive but the evening was much lighter. I decided to go in to be tested and took a test at the doctors office and it was negative. The first test was so clear then they got lighter and the test at the doctors had barely a shadow of a so they called it negative and now I have to wait to see of I still get my period or if go back in for blood work anyone out there ever go thru this?

Sometimes if your pregnancy hormone levels aren't high enough, they'll tell you your blood test is negative - but it's only because it's still very early. The levels will continue to rise, so ask them for another blood test and to compare the results.

Hope this is it for you! If not, have you considered tracking your signs of fertility so you can tell exactly when ovulation is happening - even with the long cycles?
