It's possible you ovulated late or had an annovulatory cycle. Your cramping could be from the body gearing to ovulate, maybe. Or just a hormonal disturbance.

Is there any sort of planned parenthood or program where you could go and get a blood test?

If you are 9 days late and conceived, you should be getting a blaringly positive test by now...

My guess is you are not pregnant, you either ovulated late and will get your period late because of that, or you conceived late and it's too early to test positive or you just had an annovulatory cycle.

A trip to the ER for a pregnancy test is a waste of money for you and (no offense) but a waste of time for staff. Quite frankly, $28 at the health department, is a heck of a lot cheaper than an ER visit.

Go to a walk-in clinic or make a regular appointment with an OB if you don't have a Planned Parenthood or other women's clinic in your area.

I agree, I would not go to the ER for a pregnancy test. I barely go when I probably should and I am in Canada where it doesn't cost anything for a visit. Also, it's very likely they are just going to test with the same type tests you are using now.
