I am really concerned that I may be pregnant. If I am I would be excited.
On April 21st I took off my last week of the birth control patch. My period started on April 26th. I have had unprotected sex several times since.
I expected a lil body drama as the hormones officially left my body. However, a week ago my areolas got darker. I have a light complexion so it is highly noticeable. I started uriniating every hour on the hour. I went into the doctors office on May 21st.
I made a list of 11 symptoms that I had, including the thin milky white discharge and the cramping. It turns out that I had food poisoning. A UTI and bacterial vaginosis.
However, since then I started cramping like my period was going to show up any second, however nothing, My period was due on May 24th… nothing.
Currently, my boobs hurt. My areolas are even darker. It is may 27th and I still have not had a period and I am miserable due to all of the cramping.
I have taken a pregnancy test 3 days in a row and it is saying that it is negative. Today is my last day of antibiotics. However, the discharge has increased.
Is it possible that I am pregnant anyhow?
I was thinking that maybe I would skip a period because I got off the patch. However, why would I be feeling like I am going to start my period when I am not?
Wow food poising, uti AND vaginal infection? Ouch.
You say your period was due May 24 but you can't really be sure. Even if you had regular periods, having just gone of birth control does make your cycles wonky so I don't think you could expect your period on a certain date a month after getting of BC.
At this point, I'd say work on getting better, making sure the antiobiotics worked. If still no period in a few days, take another test but there really is no way to know when your period is going to come. Without knowing if and when you ovulated for sure, you don't know how many days past ovulation you are so we can't tell if it's too early to test or not.
