What do you usually do when you have a cold? What medicines, vitamins, and home remedies do you try?

Ya know... we don't get sick here very often. LOL Thank the Lord!!

When we do, it's usually just some sinus and pain relievers for us. We use Motrin for the kiddos - usually get whatever "add ins" they're experiencing, like Cough and Cold or whatever.

And plenty of rest!

I usually take Mucinex D for a cold, but being pregnant I can't do that. I'd really, really like to, though... lol. I'll have to try mint tea like Katrina does... see if that works!

I've seen the commercials for Mucinex D, I'll have to try that. It's been close to 5 years since I've taken much medicine since I was either pregnant or nursing for most of that time. I'm still not used to being able to take whatever medicines I want without thinking of the boys.

Ususally wait it out. If it gets bad, then I'll take some meds.

I hate a cold. I generally don't take much for them, though, unless I just can't stand it - and then it's usually Dayquil.

I take a multivitamin as well as extra vitamins C and D3 every day to try to ward them off to begin with!
