We are going to dye some eggs tonight, then visit my family tomorrow for a big Easter egg hunt and to eat dinner. Sunday we'll go to church. DH is working out of town untiL Sunday evening. I hate celebrating holiday's without him, but it's the way it is sometimes.
We did a small egg hunt in the great room when Ian first woke up. (Brendan was still sleeping and it was impossible to keep Ian from searching for eggs!) We had some orange rolls for breakfast and then headed to church. When we got home the boys searched the front sitting room for eggs and then headed to the backyard to search for 40+ eggs that the Easter Bunny hid outside. We then ate a strawberry waffle brunch, headed out to Home Depot to buy plants for our garden, planted our garden, and lastly, ate dinner before getting the boys ready for bed. It was a busy, wonderful family day.
We dyed eggs the day before, then on Easter we opened her Easter basket, did a "practice" easter egg hunt in our living room, and then went off to my sister's husband's parents house and did more Easter baskets and a real easter egg hunt with four kids age 3 and younger. It was a blast!
