When your doctor advises you to do something do you listen?

For the most part i think we follow dr's orders pretty good but there are some things like when i started caleb on foods it was earlier than what the dr. had originally told me but i as a mother was confident he was ready.

for the most part we do too. i think i listen to her a little less for myself, like sometimes i won't finish antibiotics out or something, but when it comes to Victoria i will have her do it. if i thought something a doctor told me was iffy, i would probably get a second opinion if needed.

Honestly it depends on how I feel about the doctor. I have learned to go with my own instinct if I don't think everything is like it should. Having a chronic disorder you learn that all doctors have their own view and disagreements. I have learned early on if I don't feel comfortable with a doctor than find a second opinion. Or even a third opinion. If I had listen to the first doctor I would never had had children because when I was first diagnose the ER doctor told me that I would more than likely never be able to have children, would not be able to live a normal life, and would have to have surgery. None of those happen.

The same goes for my children. I have switched pediatricians several times because I didn't feel comfortable with the way they treated my girls. I have finally found a pediatrician that listens to both of us.
