Lakeland in Polk County here. We got hit by all 4, too. Thankfully nothing really bad happened.

Well, nothing really bad happened to us, except we didn't have power for over 2 weeks, and then had it back for less than a week before we lost it for another week! And for some of you "city folk" you may not realize this...but when you live in a rural area like we do, you have wells, not city water...so every day without power is another day with no water either. No AC + no water for showers + August in Florida = UGHH!!!

Linzy ~ I don't know if it's any comfort to you, but from what I heard, you weren't the only one who thought Ocala would be safe! Of course, we didn't evacuate for Frances...we did for Charley, and he wasn't that bad, so we stayed for Frances...boy did we live to regret that one! Danielle hit the day before Charley, and caused a lot of headaches in this area, mostly from tornadoes, but she wasn't much, and neither was Charley. Frances and Jeanne were a pain!

Fort Myers area here.....Orginally from Massachusetts but moved here 4 years ago. I guess I'll take the occasional hurricane over the constant snow.
