I'm for it and I appreciate all our military does, AND our President.
I really think northerners for the most part are more liberals and southerners are more conservative.... so I do believe more Southerners believe in the war and our President than the northerners do. Not all either way.. but you know.. the majority.
It's a stupid war, led by a stupid president, and our soldiers shouldn't be over there risking their lives for what amounts to a personal vendetta. That being said, I support every soldier who is over there, and I hope they come home safe to be with their families. They are there because they've been ordered there, and are doing their job.
Well, I was born and bred in Illinois, but southern Illinois. The area of Illinois I lived in was VERY conservative. We were practically in Kentucky though. In fact, if it wasn't for Chicago, our state would vote conservative, but Chicago carries so much weight in the vote that it doesn't really matter what the rest of the state votes. In this last election, the majority of the state voted for Bush, but since Chicago is so heavily populated, and they voted Kerry, the state went to Kerry. Anyhow, that was kind of off topic. LOL Sorry....anyway, my point, I am totally for this war and I stand firmly behind our president and our troops. But, to answer the original question, yes, I think Southerners are more accepting a supportive of the war because of their more conservative values. But, I am glad we live in a country where we can express our feelings about politics no matter what they are. God bless America!
