I'm starting to think this "cold" I have is no longer a cold, but something that may need medication. I have no insurance, and I'm already in trouble with medical bills. So my question is, has anyone had bronchitis or pneumonia? Those are the only things off the top of my head I was able to come up with that I might now have, so I'm just looking for symptoms.

Aww... no fun!! I hope you get to feeling better soon! I haven't had either (I'm lucky to not get sick much, never even had a flu or bad stomach virus) so I can't help you out much there. But, did want to say HUGS!!! Hope things work out and you're able to get meds or able to fight off whatever you have quickly.

No, the clinics like that are very hard to get into, and I really don't think I should even qualify cuz I guarantee I qualify for Medicaid, I just gotta get the ap in, but I got sick at the time I needed to do it...so...last summer I went to the dermatologist because of this skin tag I had on me that dh had been worried about for a while, my insurance put it to the deductible so on top of the $20 I paid when I went in the door I got a bill I wasn't expecting for $250, being that this summer I also had no job, I couldn't pay it. So I decided to pay it and go in shortly after I posted this, cuz the dermatologists clinic is through the same people. They saw me and now I owe them another bill...but the $250 is paid. Then the prescriptions cost $50...ugh, I've got to get the Medicaid thing taken care of this week!

Did they give you any kind of diagnosis, or just drugs? DH actually had pneumonia the winter before we got married, and there is actually a sound that you can hear if you listen to someone's lungs who has pneumonia.... I'd recognize it, but I wouldn't be able to describe it.

Bronchitis...weezing when you breathe in, sometimes you cough when breathing in too deep, feels like an elephant on your chest that doesnt go away.

Thats how I felt when I had bronchitis a few times. Sometimes its hard to catch tho but elephant on chest and weezing are classic signs.

I didn't really think I had pneumonia I just knew I didn't feel RIGHT. They said it could be a sinus infection from some of the symptoms I had, and that was causing so much drainage it was causing my other issues.

I haven't had either so couldn't help with that. But, I'm praying for you to heal up quickly.

I've had bronchitis it was hell. I could barely breath, i was always coughing, it lasted for almost 3 moths. I had 2 different rounds of antibiotic's (found out I was allergic to Zithromax because of the bronchitis). I was getting sleep deprived because I couldn't lay down or I'd start coughing more (i was a senior in high school and working full time, so that sucked)

Glad you got in. Deff get that medicaid app in. They can grant you emergency medicaid too, and can possibly back date and cover this bill for you.

Yeah I was aware they might cover this bill. This won't be my first experience with Medicaid, the kids have been on it since we moved back to Idaho.
