Did you see anybody with ashes on their heads yesterday (today if you're in the Pacific Time zone)?

Nope, but we weren't really out for very long except for a quick trip to Target. I remember when I first started teaching in Pennsylvania, and I was shocked that a bunch of kids came to school with ashes on their heads. It surprised me, because I wasn't really thinking about it that year, but it is a BIG DEAL back in that area!!

Yeah, some lady at Courtney's basketball practice asked why we all had ash on. (This year only 7 of the girls on the team are from Courtney's school, as opposed to all of them last year.)
