Hi, I'm new round these parts. My name is Jess and I have a very scrummy 9 month old, Rhys. I'll keep this brief since I've already written 2 looooong intros elsewhere on the forum
Basically, I'm from California, raised in Livermore and most recently lived in San Luis Obispo (aka, Heaven) for 8 years before moving to the UK 4 years ago. In a couple of months we'll be moving back to California just outside of Sacramento (aka, Not Heaven). I'm starting college in August to get some prereqs out of the way so I can go into a nursing program. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo (x infinity) excited to be moving back home! Any other Northern California moms (I almost typed "mum"! ) in here?
Me..... I live in Northern CA outside of Sacramento. What city will you be moving to?
I don't blame you for liking San Luis Obispo area - DH and I both really enjoy it there also! We just went for Memorial day (end of May) and are hoping to go back to the Ocean there later this Summer! Great area!!!
Baby #2 is on the way!! PROVERBS 3:5-6
We're moving to Wilton, a little town just outside of Elk Grove. I've never lived in Sacramento but my grandparents have always lived there so we've visited my whole life and my parents grew up there so I know the area pretty well.
Ahh the ocean. I can't wait to see that! You'd think that living on a small island, particularly a few miles away from the "beach", I'd see it more often, but I don't. Our beach is on an estuary so the water is brown and the sand is just mud. Not to mention the water is absolutely freezing year round.
