We have the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies... and the Avalanche (NHL) and... um... lacrosse... something... oh, and the Denver Nuggets (NBA).
I wish we had a college team that was closer, though! We were season ticket holders for USU (football) when we lived in Utah (yes, even though they are terrible, lol). Here, the closest college football team is Air Force, which is an hour away .
The closest to us would probably be the San Fransico teams but that's 2hrs away. Wait, forgot about Sacramento Kings(NBA) but they are not good.
When I lived in Texas my dad worked at the Area where the Dallas Mavericks(NBA) and Dallas Stars(NHL) played. Such an exciting job - we loved going behind the scenes (since my dad is one of the head maintenance supervisors he can) and watching all that goes on. And, we sometimes could go down to the special dock where the players parked and say hi or talk to them while they were leaving. My sister once put a note on one of her favorite Stars players car and a few days later my dad had a Star's jacket in his box with a note that said to Jill, one of my fans. My sister was BEYOND excited!!!
just high school and college teams (Cardinal's for NIC baseball and basketball (dont think they have foot ball), UofI is a Vandal's for their teams (football I know for sure) and LCSC is Warriors (not sure what kind of teams they have).
Over in Spokane, which is close enough to be my area since I'm basically on the boarder of the states. There is the Spokane Indian's minor legue baseball, Spokane Shock indoor Football and the Spokane Chief's hockey. Then all their universities teams (EWU, WSU, Gonzaga, and SCC's teams)
We have the minor leagues in Hockey, Baseball and possibly one or two other sports, the others are always dieing and getting reborn, I don't keep up. And of course since Justine mentioned college, we have several of those in the area, 3 with sports teams, Boise State, Northwest Nazarene and College of Idaho.
