Hi,

Not from Colorado, but I flew in to DIA, and then traveled up to Fort Collins, several years ago for a dog show.
I'm your neighbor, though, over in Utah. Nice to meet you! I'm Annie (27), happily married and mom to two boys!

Ahhh yes I know montrose pretty well. used to spend alot of time there when I was little. this heat is typcial for Colorado....it's actually been cooler then normal here. I know that may amaze some people but we haven't had very many 100+ days which useally there are more then just a couple a month. How long have you lived in CO?

I will gladly switch with you? you move here and I'll move there! lol I'm not to fond of the denver area...but it's pretty much where most of my family is as well as work. So I'm kinda stuck here until I get rich.

I've lived here for almost 8 years. My mom passed away when I was 16 so I moved here to live with my dad after living with my uncle in AZ did not work out.

What brought you to Montrose? Do you have family here or was it just a vacation spot?

Oh and good news- DH got offered a job in CO springs which is nice also and super close to Denver. YAY. He's going to go check it out soon.

Ahhh so a couple more years and you can be considered a native sorrry to hear about your mom. That had to be hard. Specialy at 16! But us Coloradians are glad to have you here lol.

I used to live in a small town south of gunnison called Lake City. My dad was the under sheriff there. and we used to take weekend trips to montrose and we also used to have friends that lived there.

Ohhh Colo Springs is one of my fave places here in CO. I used to spend alot of time down there in my late teens and early 20's. I would get breathless watching the sunrised there, it was something the guy I was seeing at the time and I used to do every morning......wake up watch the sunrise and then go back to bed to sleep in late. I have my "thinking spot" down there. you know the place you like to go to when the world's just spinning a little to much for your liking. So you can just sit and slow it down a bit. there's a mountain that I climb up and just sit there and look to the east and you can see forever taking it all in. Man I need to go there! it's just hard now with Shyla. can't exactly climb a mountain with a baby....at least safely. Anyway you will love it down there. so I hope your DH takes the job lol.

I know where Lake City is. I liked CO springs a lot when I went there. My kids LOVED the zoo there. IMO way better than the Denver zoo. What do you like to do in or around Denver? I love the downtown aquarium.

Honestly I don't do anything in Denver LOL Growing up all over the state and most of it in the Denver area I've worn out all the fun that is here to do. I used to enjoy going to the Zoo, the Aquarium, the museums, and the wil still go to the Botanical gardens but only for pictures, ands Eliches, but other then that everything really entertaining my eyes is down where there aren't any people lol Or if there are people they are spread out. KWM, I'm not a city girl, I prefer to be in the wide open spaces. I haven't been to the Cheyanne Mountain Zoo yet. but I keep hearing that it is sooo much better then Denver's which I don't doubt at all Denver's is'nt all that great.

Be roud you know where Lake City most people don't even know there is such a place.
