Good Luck! Normally you would not be able to meet with both an ON and a midwife because they are both considered primary care giver! There are exceptions if you find a certified midwife who does not have hospital privileges, she may have some sort of deal worked out where they can share your care!
Another thing you can do is transfer from the OB to the midwife later on... however as there is a shortage of midwives in Ontario, if you think of doing this you may want to contact any local midwifery practice to see if they can either reserve a spot for you or how booked up they think they will be...
Anyways I won't bore you to death with details, but if you want any further information just let me know! I've now delt with two different midwifery practice (since I moved) and I found I learn alot about the system and how it works due to that!
