Browsing through my DDC (Dec) and there was mention about car seats and where they should be positioned in the vehicle. They were mostly speaking about State specific by-laws, but what about here in Canada? DH and I want to trial run the seat before baby arrives but I've heard mixed messages about middle, passenger, etc

I heard that if you put a baby seat in the front passenger, the air bags will KILL the child... in the back, I think middle is safest if properly bucked... I think in Canada the fire department and police will help you install it properly and give the tips you need.
Back seat middle I would think is best. Since our van has captains seats the kids are right behind Dan and I individually. Our local health unit has a car seat clinic maybe check if there is something available around where you are. Our local police detachment has them every so often too. It wouldn't hurt to call them and see what they say.
