do you spend on groceries a week? and how many people are in your family?
I asked this awhile back before we had a Canuck board and it was hard to compare since pricing and taxes differ in the States. I was just wondering as it seems we spend alot, even when we try to conserve we are spending about $160 a week
We spend around $150 each week for 6 of us(we have a border). I shop at Walmart, Superstore and the Co-op. This does not include any beef or bread, we get those for free. When I want to I can scale it down to $75-100 a week. When the border leaves it will be at the lower range.
We spend about $75 on food groceries (not including toilet paper, etc) a week. We live right near a fresh foods market and get our veggies and fruit super cheap. We'd save more if we weren't so lazy and got to No Frills more. I'm planning on nursing and then making my own baby food so for the first year the baby will probably only bring us to $100 a week
Between DH and I we spend about $100/week... and that's DH controlling himself. He used to spend about $100/week on just himself and I spent about $50/week on just me. We buy most stuff at Save-On-Foods and get fruits & veggies at a local market.
