do you spend on groceries a week? and how many people are in your family?

I asked this awhile back before we had a Canuck board and it was hard to compare since pricing and taxes differ in the States. I was just wondering as it seems we spend alot, even when we try to conserve we are spending about $160 a week

We spend between $80-$120 a week @ Sobeys. Depends on if Liv needs milk and diapers and if we go to the Superstore too.

We spend around $150 each week for 6 of us(we have a border). I shop at Walmart, Superstore and the Co-op. This does not include any beef or bread, we get those for free. When I want to I can scale it down to $75-100 a week. When the border leaves it will be at the lower range.

I would say that in a month we spend at least $800 on groceries, maybe sometimes even a bit more (depends when I go on a Costco trip).

there are 7 of us in the family (our new baby included)

Woah, I think we eat lots!
We spend $80-$100 per week I'd say. That's for 2 of us.

We spend about $75 on food groceries (not including toilet paper, etc) a week. We live right near a fresh foods market and get our veggies and fruit super cheap. We'd save more if we weren't so lazy and got to No Frills more. I'm planning on nursing and then making my own baby food so for the first year the baby will probably only bring us to $100 a week

We spend about $150 a week, there are 6 of us.

But, once every second month or so I go to 'cheap day' which is 15% off and spend $400 on staples that I freeze, dried goods, canned, etc.

Between DH and I we spend about $100/week... and that's DH controlling himself. He used to spend about $100/week on just himself and I spent about $50/week on just me. We buy most stuff at Save-On-Foods and get fruits & veggies at a local market.

We spend about $60 a week for me and my bf. Thats if we only need food, if we need laundry soap or other stuff like that we spend a little more.
