Heh. No flaming me!! We pay our property with our mortgage, but we just got our "receipt" or whatever you call. Ours (for a corner lot) went up to $1400/year. Factoring that raise into our mortgage, we pay $146 every 2 weeks. It was $142.22 every 2 weeks. Hate me yet?

Good ol' Nova Scotia. At least in our county you cant have an increase in what you pay more then 3% per year. Which is amazing since our property value went up 35% So thankfully ours was only $1400 this year.

Considering the recent boom in real estate here ours are still really reasonable. A LOT less than what my folks paid in SK and still less than what they pay in BC. Ours is only $197 /month.

I soo want to sell my house... I'd be willing to rent cheap but DF seems to think owning is the way to go. hmmph. I'd rather have more money for shopping!!

We plan on renting a house somewhere around Sarnia hopefully for Sept 1 this year while we save up for a few years to buy a house. Dont know where yet, wont be Sarnia though even though they are amazing cheap compared to here. Chemical Valley, thats why!!

A friend of mine pays $2500/yr for his property taxes here in town. I think its cause theres a bus stop and a park out front of his house and a school right down the street. Thats nuts!
