I have been rather busy in the days since the wedding, but I have not forgotten about you girls! In fact I was sitting around with my mother earlier on this evening and began to think up some ideas for some new posts. I even asked my mother, she gave me a few ideas that might be seen over the next while. BUT then I got to thinking about my mother and her perspective on things. She knows all about JM, I often tell her about posts, or show her baby photos.
Long story short, I decided for the sake of JM mommies and mommies to be, I interviewed her.

The following are some questions I asked her:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Sandra May
Age: I am a grandma now, you don't need to know those things!
(Because I am her daughter, and a renowned brat, I will tell you she is 45!
)
How many children do you have?
Just the one, though I had a miscarriage that I think of from time to time. You just can't help but wonder...
How many children did you want?
I always wanted three.
Why did you only end up with the one?
Well, I was a single mother... I just felt that one was enough. Especially when I was diagnosed with diabetes. The doctors discouraged pregnancy.
When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
A firetruck.
(Yes, you read that right. Even my grandmother tells me my mom said this as a child... firetruck.)
What do you do now?
Currently going through a schooling program for mid-life career change!
(Go mom!)
What do you want to be when you grow up now?
RICH!
(Me too mom, me too.)
How did you first react when you found out you were going to be a grandmother?
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! ...and scared.
What is your favourite time with the baby?
ANYTIME. She is way cuter than you when you were a baby.
(Thanks mom! She was joking, but I agree anyhow. I love my baby!)
Any plans for your grandmothering style in the future?
I am going to spoil her rotten, then send her home.
In your opinion, what great Canadian things do you want for your grandchild to grow up with?
Apple orchard trips, pumpkin patch trips, corn mazes, maple forest trips along with maple candy, catching coloured leaves in the fall, making snow angels, building snowmen, tobogganing, good Canadian Christmas! Everything, Canada has the most opportunities for a fun childhood I think.
Any advice for new mothers?
Enjoy them when they are infants. Enjoy them when they are toddlers. Just enjoy them at every moment. All too soon they are out of your house. You might think you will enjoy the freedom, but nothing makes you more free than being a mother. You shape a whole new human being.
