DF and I were talking about this yesterday..
The gov't taxes money before your employer pays it to you, when they pay it to you, and then again when you spend it!
It just seems a bit ridiculous to me

Yeah I would say so...or paying duty at the border...ummmm why am I paying a goods and service tax to Canada when I purchased the item in the US? You provided me with neither a good nor a service? duhhh lol regardless we stay 2 days which allows us to thankfully bring back 400 bucks of stuff back each...Of course they still like to try and hassle you at the border regardless.

Taxes suck, but not having to pay the hospital for years and years for needing to go is nice, and roads in good condition. I've read some ladies in here from the states talking about their dr bills from having their baby and Im like Im amazed that people HAVE babies down there its all so expensive. I think I would have an unassisted home birth or something at those prices

And I have complained about having the gov't take money off our pay, then paying tax on EVERYTHING we spend money on too. Just cant win right?

Yeah, I understand taxes to a point. But it gets a little excessive after a while. And I think we should get a bit more say in where our tax dollars go as well. I live out in the country and our roads are terrible, we have to doctor in our town, and they're removing our school for no reason.. it just seems like they're taking our money to put into the cities, kwim?.
