She had to have her dog put down today I'm so sad for her. She absolutely loves that dog and she's had him for so long. She had to put her cat down at the beginning of this year also. Now she doesn't have anyone to take care of. My poor nana. The dog has been sick for awhile. She had him at the vet on friday and they took care of him and got his fever down and he was well enough to go home but he's not been able to keep any food down this weekend so she took him back today. They did x-rays and found some sort of mass, they didn't know what it was. They decided to do surgery but as soon as they got in there they realized it was much worse than they thought and there was nothing they could do to help. Nan didn't want him to suffer anymore so she went to spend some time with him and say goodbye We knew he was getting old, he didn't respond much anymore when he was called, if you walked too close to him he would cry and he didn't want to go outside much but we thought he had a couple years left. I'm afraid to go see my grandma because I'm going to give her a hug and she's going to cry. I hate seeing my nana cry, it makes me cry. I wish there was somthing I could do to make her feel better.
Patricia, wife to Chris and mom to Dominick with baby boy #2 due this summer! Forever missing my two little angels.
Ugh my MIL just had to put down her cat (20 years old!) and dog (16) the same day on Saturday. It is so sad to lose a pet. These were the last of hers. She had 7 when I met DH 7 years ago. They all lived to be very old. Hugs for your Gramma.
