I don't know why christmas has to be so expensive, I always wanted to give my children more than what we've gotten when we were young, but its like trying to keep up with the jones's. I probably did buy too much for the children and now, All i got left is the xmas gifts for the family, which i plan to go to walmart in the middle night, I know exactly what i am getting for each person.. and its still costing 400!!!

Since i'm on maternity, my income is slashed a bigg deal, cause i went on sickleave, prior to maternity, and my luck, my work screwed me, cause even though i'm only considered ppt, i was getting full hours, but when i went on ei, i had to use all my sick/annual leave hours, and they only gave me my ppt hours, 30 hrs to be exacty every two weeks, so that brought down my ei claim... so instead of making like top ei which i should (788) i'm only gettin 614.00 and its a big yank from getting just about 1000 biweekly, Probably a bit too much info, but just explaining how I was so used to getting my reg, check and now i'm wuith an extra expense ( a child ) and they give me crap all... Its' too bad canada cant match what you made. so, we've been doing okay, since my hubby is working but i just cant wait to get back to work, but then i got the daycare thing, where i gotta pay 650.00 biweekly (if i was to go with that price!) we don't qualify for the child care subsidy, too bad they don't do what they do in Quebec, that everyone qualifys for subsidy!

Anyways, I sell avon, and just got MAJORITY screwed with it all, i gave up selling it to that point, someone just stiffed me with a 150 dollar order, (that she ordered a month ago, and i kept trying to drop it off, and she had excuses, no wonder.) and then a return and then, they send me subsitutes for items, that i know my customer dont want, and avon makes you pay for the return... so Thats a good xmas gift to ya.

sorry for being so negetive, just been so stressed, i can't wait for xmas ot be over, So the "stress" of buying is finally out lol.

Awe, hugs! That's rough. I hate how the holidays are always so stressful on our wallets and can be exhausting. That's terrible about that lady with the Avon order, I hope you figure something out. Hang in there hun.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time We gave up buying gifts for anyone but our ds, we don't even buy gifts for each other because it was just too much on the wallet. I hope you can feel less stressed soon.

I know it can be really stressful And I'm sorry your customer stuck you with that order! I sell Avon too, and have learned to be REALLY careful who to sell to because I've been stuck with a few of those

Aw I am sorry hun! This is such a rough time of the year financially for people. I think we should go back to what it is REALLY about, family, togetherness and giving to those in NEED not WANT. Hugs!
