Since the middle of Dec Brianna has developed these little spots on her skin, they are dark spots, not raised and all over her. When I first noticed them there where only a few and only on her back now they are on her back, neck, stomach, butt, legs and arms. I have tried different soaps on her even bathed her with no soap to see if that was maby the problem and I have tried a different laundry detergent but they are still there and more are appering but they don't seem to be bothering her at all which you'd think if it was somehting to worry about they would, right? I asked the doctor about them at her 3 month check and he said not to worry about them it is normal, well that was when there was only a few there and only on her back! now they are all over! her 4 month check isn't until the 10th of Feb(late I know) I am gunna call and see if I can get her in next week maby but they are busy so chances are slim. What would you do? I know I am gunna mention them again but if he says the same thing should I get a second oppinon? should I be worried? should I just take her in to the walk-in?

Here are some pics of the ones on her back, don't mind the red marks thats just from me holding her naked she had just had a bath, it's the darker redish/brown spots and blotches that are all over.

Pic from this morning.

id bring her to a dermatologist, though im not sure if you need to be refered to one or not, it doesnt look like a rash to me, they look more like birthmarks, or maybe they are some sort or mole or freckle?

I would definently see a dermatoligist. Does it look scaly at all up close?

I have had spots that started out like that myself. After bathing, they were more noticeable. I got more and more as time went on, they even "joined". I saw many different doctors, no one knew what it was. I saw a dermatolgist and he knew at first sight what it was. It was Tinea versicolor, the treatment is using selsun blue as a body wash. Im not sure with babies though, its a thought to maybe bring up to the dr when you see him/her.

Heres some info on it, theres TONS when you look on google too. Some sites say that its itchy, but it wasnt for me unless my skin got dry. Tinea versicolor | BabyCenter
