Do you use the time out method?

If yes, how long do you put your LO on time out?

If no, what other forms of discipline do you use? (not intended for debate just info)

Do you find that time outs work?

Ds gets time outs. I don't time them, I just wait till he stops whining or screaming and then explain to him why he was put in time out. Sometimes he gets sent to his room and comes back on his own after he calms down.

When the two toddlers are out of control or naughty, we sit them on a step or in a corner, and set the timer for one minute per year of age, they have to sit there, when the timer goes off, I go to them and explain why they got a time out-give them a hug and kiss, and let them go play. Works for us.

Do you use the time out method? Yes.

If yes, how long do you put your LO on time out? 2.5 minutes since she's 2.5.

If no, what other forms of discipline do you use? (not intended for debate just info)

Do you find that time outs work? Yes, I just put her in her room on her bed and tell her what she did wrong. When the times up she's had time to calm down.

Do you use the time out method? You bet.

If yes, how long do you put your LO on time out? 2 minutes.

If no, what other forms of discipline do you use? (not intended for debate just info) Just the usual explaining what he did wrong, removing him from the situation or if need be in a dangerous situation a stern voice.

Do you find that time outs work? Heck yes! I rarely have to acutally do it anymore I just say "do you want a TO?" and he stops lol!

Oh man I'm jealous of you ladies that the time outs work. Lincoln is still too young, although we do put him on time out, but he doesn't really understand yet. Phoenix on the other hand, just laughs at me and literally says to me "I know I'm going to get off in 6 mins so I don't care"

I've tried other things, like taking away privledges and grounding her, nothing. UGH!!! I'm having a heck of a time discplining her right now. I hope it's just a phase.

Do you use the time out method? yep

If yes, how long do you put your LO on time out? I do per age, Dillan is 3 so 3 min for him, Chase 1 so 1 min for him, I give one warning, no warnings for hitting, biting ect then put them on a chair in the kitchen and explain to them why they are there set the timer, come back and explaine again then they have to appoligize to me and/or the other person involved then hugs and kisses.

Do you find that time outs work? yes, we rarly have to use them anymore a warning is enough 99% of the time.
